Hands up everyone who has been slacking off their Japanese studies over Christmas and New Years?
Good, me too! I hope you have all had a wonderful holiday season filled with love, mince pies and (of course) sake.
I spent new years eve this year at my boyfriend’s mums flat, which happens to look over the whole of London, we had more or less the best possible view of all the fireworks.
It was such an amazing experience, but now it’s back to real life. Here’s my other big news: I got a job! Which means a lot less time for Japanese, but I think I’ll still manage, to start with I’m going to have an hour train commute each way so maybe that can be my study time.
I also got a new resource for Christmas, one of my lovely friends brought me Essential Kanji which I am excited to start using alongside my other studies. I can’t say much about it right now because like I said before.. slacking off..
Anyway I am definitely getting back to it today, I have a week before I start my exciting new job and I really want to feel like I have not only caught up but learned something new before then. I am still aiming to take the JLPT in summer, is anyone else aiming for the same thing? I would love to hear how people are studying for it and what your language goals (or any other goals) for the year are!
